Google Updates Its Mobile Search Interface for iOS

Google updated the interface of its mobile search page for iOS today.
The redesigned page brings a new top bar with large icons over each tab. Presumably this will make it easier for people to switch bars and find additional Google services.

How do I get this activated? Tryed to empty my cahce, delete my cookies etc. but whenever I try to load googl.com, only the old interface appears.
tryed that for both the german and the english site.
any suggestions?
