After making some tweaks to the iOS Simulator application, it's been found that iOS 6 will scale correctly to the taller 640x1136 resolution of the rumored next generation iPhone, reports 9to5Mac.
We were able to run the simulator at the rumored next-generation iPhone display resolution of 640 x 1136. We did this running both the current public release of iOS 5.1 and the upcoming iOS 6.0 The iOS 5.1 simulator displayed the home screen with a stretched set of four rows of icons. On the other hand, iOS 6 displayed five complete rows as our sources said Apple was testing for taller iPhone displays.
Notably, the simulator will not correctly display five rows of icons at any resolution other than 640x1136 which seems to add weight to the prediction.
Take a look at some screenshots of the taller resolution below.

Yea...well...that was my initial reaction, too, but this is Apple, so we can expect to encounter an aesthetically "correct" (as in "not awkward looking") device.
And even if it is not as gorgeous as all current and previous iPhones, don't tell me you're not going to buy it on Day One either way! This is by virtue of the fact that you're posting on iClarified.

Dont know. Might have to miss day one for this one till I'm able to hold in in my hands and see how it feels. It looks awkwardly long from the pics though.

Say it isn't so. They need to make it a bit wider too. It's going to feel too long.

They do train us at all of those things. Now you know that your dude flight attendant just wasn't interested in you. So when you can afford first class them ask him again.
