Steve Jobs' yacht, christened 'Venus', has been spotted in Ensenada, Mexico by Cult of Mac reader Felipe Cornejo.
Known as the “Cinderella of the Pacific”, the city of Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico is located 70 miles south of the United States international border, 60 minutes away from Tijuana and 90 minutes from San Diego. Ensenada is an important commercial and fishing port as well as a cruise ship port of call. The global Newport to Ensenada International Yacht Race, billed as the world's largest international sailing event, begins in Newport Beach and finishes in Ensenada.
None of Jobs' family was spotted at the site and dock workers weren't aware that the boat was Steve Jobs'. It docked in Ensenada on April 10th 2014 at 08:04:19 UTC, according to ShipSpotting.
The yacht was unveiled at an event in Aalsmeer, Netherlands in October 2012; however, in December it was impounded in Amsterdam over a unpaid bill of 3 million euro.
Clearly, everybody missed the fact that this was designed by jony ivie! IF you look at the minimalist design (or rather lack thereof) you will see how similar this looks to the desk that ivie designed and sold.
I'm as gay as Steve Jobs was. maybe I should try and run to the dock before they leave and maybe I can hop in. or maybe I could be the official Yacht Bitch to the captain and all the crew. And Let The Captain brand me The Apple Bitch.
Wow dude that's an awesome observation. I would have never realized that. That's pretty cool. And kind of surreal at the same time. Since jobs had passed before both of those products were introduced. Maybe he incorporated that into the design since maybe they were in development before he left. Orbits just a weird coincidence.
