iWatch to Begin Production in September, May Not Hit Shelves Until 2015

Apple has notified component suppliers that they will need to begin delivering hardware to assembly locations as early as next month, according to China's United Daily News via GforGames. The assembly process is reportedly set to commence in September and will only yield a million iWatches a month.

In addition, once the components will hit the conveyor belts, it’s estimated that it will take between 1 and 2 months before the final product will be ready. That being said, Apple’s supply chain sources add that the iWatch might arrive a bit too late for a 2014 release date. Either that, or we might see a limited launch that could take place in December.

Notably, a recent report from KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo corroborates the possibility of a launch delay. Kuo said that difficulty manufacturing the iWatch would likely delay its release until 2015.
