Apple's press event isn't for another six days; however, some excited Apple fans are already in line for the iPhone 6!
Dan Benton tweeted a photo of the lineup he spotted at the flagship Fifth Ave Apple Store.

This photo seems to me so close to a photo published a out a year ago about people waitinc for the iPhone 5S availability that i wonder: are these the same guys as one year ago wlling to vave again their 5 minute celebrity, or does someone recycle the year ago photo?
I don't get it, the announcement date is different from the release date of the phone. Wouldn't that mean these people will be waiting well past the announcement date?

You are correct. If you love drawing and find a career that allows you to draw all day, then life well spent. If you like muscle cars and spent $100,000.00 and waited for 6 months to get the car, then life well spent.
I, for 1, do not like either of those things, but some do, so for them, yes, life well spent.
