iPhone Firmware 1.1.3 May Arrive Saturday

Apple may release an update to the iPhone as early as this weekend that will have some important new features, according to a claim from CNET France.

The article indicates that a 1.1.3 upgrade for the iPhone may appear by Saturday which adds disk mode for storing data on the phone and a voice recording mode for capturing lectures or voice memos.

The disk feature would be similar to the iPods and will block direct content copying to load the phone with music.


It is possible that this firmware update will allow hackers to unlock the latest batch of manufactured iPhones. It is also just as possible that this firmware might set hackers back even further.
