GeekBar has posted of picture of what allegedly is a 2GB Elpida RAM module for the iPad Air 2, reports MacRumors.
The RAM module appears to be similar to the 1GB module found in the current iPad Air and corroborates a previous report that Apple will update the iPad Air with 2GB of RAM but leave the third generation iPad mini with 1GB of RAM.
Apple is expected to unveil the new iPad Air at a special event on October 16th. A physical mockup of the device surfaced recently with a thinner designer and Touch ID. It's also believed that Apple will launch new iMacs and OS X Yosemite at the event.
The current iPad Air is good enough and now A8 and 2G? Wow! I want it but I'm not gonna get in line or being crazy about it as I'm fine with my iPad Air. I'm more excited if they'll reveal the new Apple TV since it's way overdue for the upgrade!
Don't you think that would make the chip a bit too big, besides who needs that much ram, it won't make a different since current generation of devices load in a split second when using lte.
