T-Mobile today announced that customers can pay as little as $5 a month for iPhone 6s 16GB and $9 a month for iPhone 6s Plus 16GB with JUMP! On Demand and trade-in of an iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus.
Expanding on CEO John Legere's announcement last night, the company revealed more specifics about the offer today.
T-Mobile’s new pricing builds on the Un-carrier’s straightforward $20 a month for a new iPhone 6s 16GB with JUMP! On Demand without a trade-in. Now, your trade-in value for any old phone you own brings that monthly price down even more - $10 a month with trade-in of iPhone 5s, Note 5 or Note edge and $15 a month with trade-in of almost any other phone you own like iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, Galaxy S4, Galaxy S3, HTC M8 and Motorola Droid Turbo. At T-Mobile, you’ll get what your trade in is worth.
Check out the chart below for the full pricing range based on your trade-in. If you want to hang on to your iPhone after your 18 month JUMP! On Demand agreement is up, you can for $125 LESS than the full retail price. That’s just $524 for a new iPhone 6s 16GB.
Whoever is ok with the little 16g iPhone does not deserve one. Apple please start it with at least 32G for the same price AND above all a much larger battery.
you can choose to waive the T-Mobile insurance and get apple care from any apple store, as long as you purchase the apple care within a week of receiving the new phone, that's what I do every year
You have 60 days from the date of purchase (of device) to buy AppleCare for your iPhone. It gives you two years of hardware, software, and phone support. Plus it comes with two incidents of accidental damage or water damage. However, it does not cover loss of theft. So, if you think you're more likely to break your phone, AppleCare is a better option. If you think you're more prone to losing your phone (or getting it stolen), insurance through your wireless carrier is better.
Part of the hook is the monthly cost includes $10 credit on your bill, with the lease payments actually $10 higher than this chart shows... So if you cancel the higher payment comes into play...
