Samsung Mocks Apple For Killing the Headphone Jack on the iPhone 7 [Video]

Posted August 3, 2016 at 6:16am by iClarified
During its event to unveil the Galaxy Note 7, Samsung took a shot at Apple's rumored decision to kill the headphone jack on the iPhone 7.

It's been widely reported for months now that the next generation iPhone will no longer feature a headphone jack, rather it will connect to headphones via the Lightning port or Bluetooth. A Lightning to 3.5mm adapter may be included to make it easier for users to connect their existing headphones.

Take a look at the clip from Samsung's event below...

Let's see who has the last laugh. If you had removed the jack, maybe you'd have space enough to provide proper battery connectors so your latest Note 7 doesn't explode. Please go ahead and recall your killer phone.

I myself and I know a majority of iPhone users have the headphones Amd charger plugged in while watching a movie or streaming music when your at one place for a long period of time. This now kills that. So how to I plug in my auxiliary cord to my iPhone? Smfh

Adapters that have a headphone jack and lightning with it, but hey, lightning headphones are the next step to making greater sound like the boomstick helping cheap headphones sound better.

The only great thing about this post is that it coninues to show how self centered this company is getting over a business decision that doesn't involve them whatsoever.

Bluetooth headsets sales now surpass regular headsets with jacks. People are going towards wireless headsets. Samsung can continue to be used by grandpas and grandmas.

There's little to nothing left involved with Samsung in terms of iPhone parts anymore since TSMC.

Apple has never ever referred to one if their competitors in any of their marketing campaigns... No matter, what they still get a free plug from biggest competitor. Nice one Samsung

You forget "it just works", the Mac campaign that used to ridicule Windows.

Link? Also if you're reffering to those 'get a Mac' advertisements, correct me if I'm wrong but maybe that's what you meant.

In terms of android and iOS it makes sense because it shows the difference between what people prefer overall and it can help those who are new to these OS' get an idea of which ones to pick. At least they are trying to appeal to anyone trying to decide here and not flat out mocking anyone over one decision like they're a part of it.

Well done Samsung! Whatever technological marvel you build, there is no escape from two blaring facts: it is a Samsung and it runs Android.

Uh... No. It almost never goes that way. Samsung and several other manufacturers are almost alway 1-2 generations ahead of Apple as far as specs are concerned. Granted, Apple has, up to recently, always had a far more refined product but that is certainly not the case anymore. The s6 and s7 are superior in most respects including design and build quality. At the very least; on par. Where Apple still has a marginal lead is in its operating system which is, in my opinion, perhaps not overall better but certainly more refined. I have never been a fan of Apple or their closed ecosystem and narrow minded and stubborn policies but I am and have been a huge fan of the iPhone. The natural evolution of Apples only truly unique and revolutionary product; the iPod/iPod touch. That said, apples grip on that is loosening at an increasingly accelerating pace. Android has been slow and steady and absolutely will, 100% win the race. It's an inevitability. Though, for this phone user/consumer, it's still an iPhone in my pocket. Perhaps that may change soon though.
