At least Samsung cares about their consumers that they are taking responsibility replacing their phones and doing a recall to prevent any major accident. Not like apple which blame their phones catching on fire on the premises of fake cables and never bother doing a recall while hundred of iphones were catching on fire. i can say this based on my own experience because I had 2 iphones catching on fire and apple never replaced my phones. and for any smart-ass I was using the original cable+wall hub

It's because people are risky for what they do that make the products unstable. In the case of the battery problem caused by the company, it does make sense to do a recall, but not against products that aren't meant to work with what it's made for if it causes problems and made by a different company, but in the case of what Apple does, AppleCare exists for a reason.

You just made your story. Apple has the best customer service there is and if you have brought the burnt cables and charges maybe they will believe you and replaced the device with a new one. On the Samsung's case how can you say they have the best customer relationship when they shut their customers and asked them to delete the videos they released on youtube about their exploding S4 in order to get a replacement. Wrong move! They should've never done that to their customers. With exploding iPhones Apple has done a great job handling these issues. They have proven that the exploding iPhones in China were caused by fake chargers and non MFI cables are used. I have dealt with Apple's customer service and they did an excellent job in handling my product issues.

Do you have a source where apple iPhones were catching by the hundreds? I only recall reading a few where fake chargers and unintentional or intentional damage to the phone causes the battery to explode. Seriously, It's awesome that samsung is correcting the issue which includes a very VERY large portion of their manufactured phones. But I still don't see what your comment has to do with apple's lack of exploding batteries.

Does anyone remember there was a time when iphones were exploding in people's pockets? These are two companies trying their best to give customers the best quality that they can. There will always be a flaw here and there from either side. Samsung is to be respected for taking responsibility for this situation and replacing people's products. Okay Mr Righteous one. Apple had one phone burst into flames due to an cheap charger used by the owner. When you have a whole brand recalled and stop selling, that tells you that research and develop were never invested in these overly priced equipment. Be the person who lost all his contacts, photos and things of importance and see how you would accept Samsung brand.

Bursting iPhones before were caused by fake chargers and cables. Apple faced this issue before. But this one is different. It was caused by original Samsung battery. And in the previous Samsung battery explosions in S4, they shut the customers by pulling out their videos of the phone in youtube before getting their replacement. By now they should've learned their lesson on taking care of their customers first before profit.

If you are stupid enough to spend your hard earned money on a Samsung POS phone, you probably deserve to have the battery explode.

While I'd love to make fun of those Samsung fu(kers I certainly feel bad because these batteries can hurt a person and that's no laughing matter. Still, they made such a big deal of bend gate when this shot happens to their phones and THIS is really bad and dangerous.

Crappy Samsung and over priced. There are other better Android choices instead of Samsung like HTC or LG or Motorola whatever. Still, I have totally become and apple fan boy and there's nothing wrong with that. I even now took the last step and bought a MacBook Air. So happy.

Funny how they put the budget against marketing against the iPhone over a jack onky for this f**k up to happen. You Applese need to calm down. Galaxy Note 7 is a "HOT" product. The many features will make your mind explode, in this case, your hands. But seriously, every major tech company will experience a faulty part from their supplier. But when it comes to Apple, they are often over exaggerated. When it happens to Samsung, it's kinda expected.

Even at that, it's still blown out of the water by speed tests in terms of competition with optimization, the way it can be used with other products made by the same company (continuity for example), and jailbreak to get way more than this all how you want it, but hey it will be as unsecured as android once it's jailbroken.

Exaggerated? Its all over the news. It is the talk of the town! It is a shame for Samsung to make a mistake with that scale. Pulling out a model from the market is a huge loss. Not only today but for next quarter sales.

I feel bad for Samsung. No1 should mock or make fun of this issue. They try their hardest. I hope they get through this issue.

Samsung gear S is a flop in the 4th time! They are half baked products based on Apple leaks. I see them now in sale baskets, when Apple watches sell even if it is a 1st generation for the 2nd year. Every watchOS update makes the watch more useful including the growing number of developed apps for the watch.

So what is this now? BatteryGate, BoomGate, ChargeGate, OhCrap!Gate, P.O.S.Gate... The 'people' were fast to shoot down the iPhone 6 with BendGate, but now that it is happening to one of their own, mum's the word? Smh!

Where are the Samdroids? I thought the S7 is the best they got? Got recalled, globally?! What a mess! iPhones also caught fire before but it was caused by fake chargers and cables and was never recalled. With Samsung it was caused by their original Samsung battery. What a shame!
