Apple is surely keeping its pace towards a disaster, no more Steve Jobs to save their sorry asses... While this may sound interesting, it'll be a challenge to pull off - the same app working seamlessly on both architectures ( arm64 & x86/x64). The macOS gate keeper is damn strict as of now, it'll get worse then.

Will be playing Clash of Clans at work! Not sure why theyve not made this b4..since its just an app that runs iOS in sandbox. No modifications for MacOs needed unless they want to squeeze more power....

It’s not that simple

We’ll blow me down, if this is true, this would a real innovation and feature????

The march towards the closed ecosystem continues. Once the iPad apps are running on the Mac, Apple will start pushing the Mac App Store into the abyss. They will continue the lock out of non sanctioned apps (untrusted/unsigned/downloaded from the free web) until it gets to the point where they only way to get an app on your Mac is to download (or purchase) it from their App Store.

The opposite, with ipad running mac apps ,should be awesome!

Exactly! This would be the real innovation and this is what I've been wanting ever since there were rumours about touchscreen iPods and iPhones didn't even exist (of course the technical limits were more obvious then). I'm sick'n tired of hearing about touch interface not being able to cope. I use VNC/Remote Desktop/Teamviewer to control desktops with phones & tablets just fine thank you, so bring it on!

LOL, everything just to avoid a laptop with a touch screen. Completely useless.

What’s allowing iPad apps to run on Mac OS got to do with touchscreen

Look a touch screen laptop is a waste of time. Fingerprints on screen and a track pad is still faster for this format. Gimmicks

Did you losers ever used Microsoft Surface and such hardware? That's what i thought. Well, touch screen is not only to play angry birds and candy crush.

Microsoft surface is crap, if people want a touchscreen they can buy that.
