Apple's new iPhones are just a couple weeks away. Ming-Chi Kuo, a well respected analyst, has published purported specifications for each device.
In a note to investors, Kuo makes many of the same predictions we've been hearing over the past few months.
● Three new iPhone models: 5.8-inch OLED, 6.1-inch LCD, 6.5-inch OLED ● Dual SIM support for 6.1-inch and 6.5-inch models in certain markets ● Event during the week of September 9th ● Possible eSIM support for 5.8-inch model
Kuo also outlines some likely device specifications: ● Battery: 2700-2800mAh for 5.8-inch, 2600-2700mAh for 6.1-inch, 3300-3400mAh for 6.5-inch ● Resolution: 2436x1125 for 5.8-inch, 1792x828 for 6.1-inch, 2688x1242 for 6.5-inch ● Camera: 12MP single-lens for 6.1-inch, 12MP dual-lens for 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch ● RAM: 3GB for 6.1-inch, 4GB for 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch ● Storage: Max 256GB for 6.1-inch, Max 512GB for 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch ● Modem: 2x2 MIMO for 6.1-inch, 4x4 MIMO for 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch ● Colors: Red, blue, orange, gray and white for 6.1-inch, Three colors (Silver, Space Gray, Gold?) for 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch ● Processor: A12 for 5.8-inch, 6.1-inch, and 6.5-inch ● Price: $800-$899 for 5.8-inch, $600-$699 for 6.1-inch, $900-$999 for 6.5-inch
Finally, Kuo says that none of the new iPhones will support the Apple Pencil as it does not offer a "good user experience". Additionally, the analyst notes that the 6.1-inch LCD iPhone will be 'slightly' delayed due to production issues.
