Check out this video that demonstrates how the new iPad Pro can be used as a wireless touchscreen for the new Mac mini using Luna Display.

The video was posted by YouTuber Jonathan Morrisson.

macOS on an iPad Pro? The 2018 iPad Pro works as a wireless touchscreen display for the new Mac mini and it's kind of amazing.

Luna Display is available for Mini DisplayPort or USB-C. The dongle connects to your Mac and pairs with the Luna Display app on your iPad. You can purchase the dongle here for $79.99 and downoad the app from here.

Morrisson notes that a strong Wi-Fi connection is needed and that a traditional monitor is required for initial setup. Take a look at the demo below and let us know what you think in the comments!

There you have it. An iPad with just about every desktop feature that makes it feel like an actual computer especially the kind users have been asking and wanting this whole time and hence we can officially declare it as a Mac with a touchscreen (happy, Microsoft?), plus this really looks amazing.

Uh, but too bad the iPad doesn’t have any of the actual features. It’s just a screen for a Mac mini. Zero portable usefulness.

This is something that should be built in to the iPad in the first place. It’s nothing special and hardly amazing. It’s just that Apple is so stingy with features for the iPad that a reviewer like this guy thinks this is amazing. You know what is actually amazing? The fact that you can’t even connect an external hard drive to the iPad Pro. Adobe is releasing a full version of photoshop for iOS soon and you can’t even get your files on the device with a direct connection. iOS is way too limited for serious work.
