Apple's next generation MacBook Pro will be equipped with an SD card reader and an HDMI port, according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
"We predict that Apple's two new MacBook Pro models in 2H21 will have several significant design and specification changes," wrote Kuo. "Some of the practical changes for users are equipping with the SD card reader and HDMI port."
This follows another report from Kuo last month which claimed the new MacBook Pro models will feature a flat-edged form factor, the return of MagSafe, more I/O, and no Touch Bar.
Bloomberg also predicted that the MacBook Pro would get a brighter display, MagSafe, faster charging, and possibly drop the Touch Bar.
Kuo believes that Taiwan's Genesys Logic will be the exclusive supplier of the SD card reader for the new MacBook Pro models.
Also, what’s the point of a separate hdmi ports when there are several usb-c heavy-duty transmission ports? Is this for all those pros with multiple screens sitting on their laps in their bedrooms? The majority of us use the hdmi port to use a larger monitor at home, while the MacBook is closed.
