The rumored new 'Apple Watch Pro' may feature watch bands that are slightly wider than the ones used for previous generation devices, according to two new reports.

Last year, leaker UnclePan correctly predicted that the Apple Watch Series 7 would come in 41mm and 45mm sizes.

This year, he predicts that there will be a new Apple Watch model that is 47mm or 48mm in size with a wider band.

#AppleWatchPro# As far as I know, there is a watch with a screen size of 47mm/48mm this year, and the strap is the same as the old one, but the new strap will be wider, so it can be seen that the probability of a square will be greater [shh]

Reporter Mark Gurman has also weighed in on the possibility, noting that he believes the new watch will still support older bands but perhaps with a less than perfect fit.

I believe the Apple Watch Pro will support older bands — though maybe they won’t fit as well or look as seamless given the size of the new watch.

These predictions align with a recent report from Macotakara which said the new Apple Watch will feature a larger 47mm body and a flat display.

Apple is expected to unveil the new Apple Watch Series 8 and the new Apple Watch Pro alongside new iPhone 14 models at its September 7 'Far Out' special event.
