The palera1n team has announced the successful jailbreak of iPadOS 17 beta for supported checkm8 iPads (A9-A11).

Note that palera1n will not get support for iOS 17 as there are no devices that support it. Apple dropped support for the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X with iOS 17. You can see the full iOS 17 compatibility list here.
The team says it will release support for iPadOS 17 in the future but notes that only rootless jailbreaks will be available.
Regarding iPadOS 17, we have plans to update palera1n sometime in the future since it's currently a bit broken, however but **only** rootless will be available. Rootful support on iOS 15 / 16 will be unaffected.
Finally, the team says it may add jailbreak support for tvOS in the future as well.
TvOS or any more obscure OS (e.g. AudioOS and BridgeOS) will probably be done in the distant future if they ever have some larger lifespan, which is likely to happen.
