Weights and dimensions for Apple's next generation iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro/Max models have allegedly leaked ahead of their unveiling on September 12.

The specifications were provided to MacRumors and appear to corroborate rumors of a 10% weight drop from the iPhone 14 Pro to the iPhone 15 Pro.

The iPhone 15 Pro is set to bring improvements in at least one key area -- weight. Compared to its predecessor, the iPhone 15 Pro will be 18 grams lighter due to the change in materials. Our sources were able to verify that Apple is using Grade 5 Titanium for the iPhone 15 Pro, which represents a notable departure from the stainless steel used on every Pro iPhone thus far.

Here are the purported weights and dimensions for each new iPhone model.

iPhone 15
● Thickness: 7.8mm
● Length: 147.6mm
● Width: 71.6mm
● Weight: 171 grams

Compare that to the the iPhone 14 at 7.8mm, 146.7mm, 71.5mm, and 172 grams. While no specific dimensions were available for the iPhone 15 Plus, it's expected to be very similar in size and weight to the iPhone 14 Plus.

iPhone 15 Pro
● Thickness: 8.25mm
● Length: 146.6mm
● Width: 70.6mm
● Weight: 188 grams

Compare that to the iPhone 14 Pro at 7.85mm, 147.5mm, 71.5mm, and 206 grams. Notably, use of LIPO technology for iPhone 15 Pro displays will reportedly decrease the bezel size from 2.2mm to just 1.55mm.

iPhone 15 Pro Max
● Thickness: 8.25mm
● Length: 159.9mm
● Width: 76.7mm
● Weight: 221 grams

Compare that to the iPhone 14 Pro Max at 7.85mm, 160.7mm, 77.6mm, and 240 grams.

MacRumors notes that these dimensions are pre-production, but their source says dimensions have remained unchanged throughout development. Slight differences in weight may be possible due to different hardware configurations tested.

Apple is set to unveil all four new iPhone 15 models at a special 'Wonderlust' event happening on September 12. Please download the iClarified app or follow iClarified on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and RSS for full coverage.
