Google Maps is finally rolling out a Speedometer feature on iOS and CarPlay. The feature is arriving over five years after being launched on Android, reports TechCrunch.
TechCrunch has exclusively learned that Google has begun rolling out speedometers and speed limits for iPhone users globally. When people start navigation on Google Maps, the vehicle's speed is shown in miles or kilometers, depending on the region.
To turn on the speedometer and speed limits feature, tap your profile picture in the Google Maps app on iPhone then going to Settings > Navigation > Driving Options. Once enabled, the speed indicator will change colors if you go over the speed limit.
You can download Google Maps from the App Store for free.
