Apple is planning to launch a new MacBook Pro with an OLED display and no notch in 2026, claims a recent roadmap from research firm Omdia.
According to the report, the 2026 MacBook Pro will feature 14.3-inch and 16.3-inch Hybrid OLED + RGB Tandem + Oxide TFT + TSP on TFE displays with Dynamic Frame Rate and rounded corners. Notably, those display sizes are just slightly larger than the 14.2-inch and 16.2-inch Mini LED displays found in Apple's current generation MacBook Pros.
Additionally, Omdia claims that Apple will move from a notched cutout to a 'Hole Cut' for the 2026 MacBook Pro. It's unclear exactly what this would look like for users; however, it's possible that Apple could bring its Dynamic Island design to MacBook, aligning the style of its most recent iPhone and MacBook devices.
The Hybrid OLED panels will allegedly remain exclusive to MacBook Pro for two years before arriving to MacBook Air in 2028. Check out the full road map below and please download the iClarified app or follow iClarified on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and RSS for more Apple rumors!
