Apple has released the fourth public betas of iOS 26, iPadOS 26, macOS Tahoe 26, tvOS 26, and HomePod Software 26 for users to test. This build follows the seventh developer beta, which arrived for developers earlier today.
Based on what was introduced in developer beta 7, this latest public beta likely brings back support for the Blood Oxygen feature on Apple Watch and adds Adaptive Power Notifications.
Public beta 3 previously expanded on Apple's new 'Liquid Glass' design language. The effect became more pronounced on the Lock Screen, making the clock and passcode buttons more translucent. Navigation bars were adjusted for better readability, and a new onboarding video began walking users through the design changes after updating. Other refinements included faster app opening and closing animations with a subtle bounce effect, and toggles in Settings now adopting the Liquid Glass material when tapped.
That update also expanded the 'Reflection' ringtone collection with new variants such as Buoyant, Dreamer, and Surge, alongside a completely new ringtone called 'Little Bird'. You can listen to the full set here. In the Camera app, the 'Classic Mode' toggle added in an earlier beta was removed, returning swipe-based navigation as the default. For iPadOS users, the Preview app also received a redesign with larger, more accessible buttons.
You can join the Apple Beta Software Program here to try out the new software. Once enrolled, navigate to Settings > General > Software Update on your device and select the public beta from the "Beta Updates" row.
