Apple has reportedly begun sampling its iPhone 18 lineup, with a new leak outlining display specifications for four distinct models. The latest information from the supply chain suggests the Pro models will move toward an under-display design, while the second-generation iPhone Air remains in the mix.
According to leaker Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the standard iPhone 18 will feature a 6.27-inch display, while the iPhone Air 2 is listed with a 6.55-inch screen. Both devices are expected to retain the Dynamic Island and use 120Hz LTPO panels, continuing the feature set established with the iPhone 17 lineup.
The leak indicates a major change for the high-end tier. The iPhone 18 Pro (6.27-inch) and iPhone 18 Pro Max (6.86-inch) are said to feature a "new open area under the screen." This supports previous reports that Apple is testing under-display Face ID, allowing the Dynamic Island to shrink down to a single punch-hole cutout. Some leaks even point to that lens shifting to the top-left corner, which would drastically change the look of the device.
Seeing the iPhone Air 2 on this list is worth noting given the conflicting reports about its future. Analysts initially warned the ultra-thin model might be delayed or canceled after weak initial sales, though more recent supply chain chatter claims the device is still confirmed for a fall launch.
