Para mudar o nome do seu computador no Mac OS X siga estes passos:

Passo 1
Selecione System Preferences... do menu Apple no topo à esquerda de sua tela.
Como Modificar O Nome do Computador

Passo 2
Clique no ícone Sharing da janela Preferências.

Passo 3
Modifique o texto no campo Computer Name para o nome do computador desejado.
Como Modificar O Nome do Computador

Passo 4
Pressione Command+q para fechar Preferências do Sistema.

I have been trying to fix this for months.. I have changed the Computer Name under the sharing area, however, the old name still shows up on the log on screen!!! AAARRRGHH Did the previous owner of this G4 change a system variable somewhere, somehow to forever display his name on the logon screen instead of the computer name???
