Apple has officially released watchOS 26.6, tvOS 26.6, visionOS 26.6, and HomePod Software 26.6 to the public.



The updates arrive alongside the public launch of iOS 26.6 and iPadOS 26.6. As Apple shifts its engineering focus toward the next-generation operating systems arriving this fall, this late-stage release cycle is dedicated primarily to under-the-hood maintenance. According to the release notes, the visionOS 26.6 firmware optimizes the Spotlight index to prepare the headset for visionOS 27, matching a similar background optimization process found in iOS 26.6. Meanwhile, the watchOS 26.6 update provides general bug fixes and security updates for the Apple Watch.


Interestingly, the final versions of tvOS 26.6 and HomePod Software 26.6 carry a new build number compared to the Release Candidates seeded to developers last week. The revised build suggests Apple patched a late-stage bug right before the broader rollout. The watchOS and visionOS updates share the same build numbers as their respective Release Candidates.
