Microsoft is now using a portion of its budget to fuel guerrilla retail tactics near the Mac maker's stores, according to AppleInsider.

One of their readers, Tom, submitted a photo of the Microsoft kiosk standing just outside the Apple Store. "It's a friggin booth where you can record your own I'm a PC video," he said. "This is outside the Apple Store, Bullring, Birmingham, England." He also told AppleInsider that a trio of Microsoft staffers will be on hand to turn patrons off from the Mac for the next three days.

I purchased an iMac a year ago and an iPhone 3G three weeks ago. The iPhone has frozen or rebooted itself about a total of 20 times now. My iMac has frozen about 10 times this past year. I think both Microsoft and Apple need to spend money fixing their shi* instead of their marketing. To be honest, though Apple wins on simplicity and Microsoft wins just about everywhere else. Both O/S's crash about the same. It appears the real LIAR in this scenario would be Apple because they act like their poo poo doesn't stink. Apple just plain lies while Microsoft avoids the topic. But both suck.

This is funny in my opinion, the Apple adds against Microsoft are even more childish than this because they are totally biased and not always true. I don't see why Apple would be the only one allowed to attack it's competitors and push untrue facts through it's marketing. Its marekting it's just there to put ideas in your mind whether they are true or not.

Agreed that this is childish of a big corporation but let's not forget that the I'm an Mac ads were and are attacks on Microsoft. But I have to side with Microsoft on their marketing strategy because like I've said before, Apple has this "our computers are cool and we are modern and clean" thing that i just can't stand. Like i want to buy your computer but i don't want the lifestyle that comes with it.

I agree with George, Microsoft should stop being a child and playing this pathetic game and start fixing their OS. If I lived in there, I'd walk right up, a Microsoft staffer would try to stop me and I'd just say "Move", but that's just me.

If I were a customer in this mall and I came accros this, I would not got into the Microsoft booth. That's just like scalping tickets before a sports game, Microsoft shouldn't be doing this crappy kind of marketing. It won't work and its a disgrace.

Microsoft should impress with new Software which will make the future a kind of easier, which are faster and easier to use instead of beeing kiddy and try to fight with apple like kids in the age of 7 years old...
