iOS 7 Beta 3 Software Update is Safe for Non-Developers

iOS 7 Beta 3 Software Update is Safe for Non-Developers

Posted July 8, 2013 at 5:30pm by iClarified
Non-developers who have installed iOS 7 on their devices can safely update to iOS 7 beta 3 via Software Update, according to verified reports.

As we revealed last month, you can update to iOS 7 without a registered developer UDID as long as you perform the update procedure outlined here.

Remember you will not be able to restore your device to iOS 7; however, we have also verified that downgrading to iOS 6 is in fact possible.

Here is our extensive list of all the changes we found in the latest beta.

I can register upto 50 devices at the monent for iOS 7 Beta UDID registration... All these comments below that are selling UDIDs dont look legit. I am posting here because I can't afford a website. But when my sales reach higher and higher I will create a website for registrations. Right now my UDID registrations cost $4 (1-10 Hour registrations.) If you would like to register your UDID send me an email to jaden69@hotmail.com so then we can arrange payments.

I am on beta 1 and when I go to Software Update, my iPhone 5 just says that my software, iOS 7.0, is up to date. Can anyone please help? I've already tried a soft reset and it did not change anything.

Updated without issue. The only thing i have noticed so far is if i access my music through Control Centre i cannot stop a track once i have started it. The only way i can is to go into my music app and stop it there. Otherwise, it seems fine...

Updated OTA from beta 2 with no problems. Non-developer here on an iPhone 5.

On beta 2, some apps would not open and I had to soft reset constantly because it would freeze up. Once upgraded to beta 3, so far one full day without resetting one time. Everything runs smooth. Love it now.

You have to update on the device. IOS 7 is the most up to date software, using iTunes will say it's the most recent. On device go to Settings>General>Software Update and update there.

Software Update, in both settings and on itunes, says that my software is up-to-date, but i only have beta 2. Has beta 3 been released in Australia?

If you are jailbroken on iOS 6 with Evasi0n, they disabled that feature. If you aren't on iOS 7 already, you can't upgrade via OTA, you need to upgrade from itunes.

For 1st beta I restored my iphone five to 6.1.4, activated it on itunes(don`t touch it, make sure it`s activated only trough itunes and still is with that "IPHONE" on the lock screen. Then I restored it to the iOS7 beta 1, which worked. But never tried for the following betas, I restored it back to iOS 6 before the launch of beta 2, I didn`t want to risk it. If anyone wants to try, tell me after c

Alpha comes before Beta, not after. Gold standard is a final release of a software. Alpha is for in house testing. Beta is for public testing.

And this is why they call these BETA software! There will be issues... why you ask? Because developers are also working on updating their apps to run smooth on the new iOS. Your apps that crash won't run at all until the final version... either stay on iOS 6 or deal with it.

In case it wasn't clear I am a developer. I am warning non-developers of the potential problems. Why? Because the article title says "Safe for Non-Developers". Which clearly isn't the case.

If you have updated using the method linked to in the story, you will be able to update OTA from the general/software settings.
