The WSJ is confirming reports that the next generation 'iPhone 5S' will have a fingerprint scanner.
People familiar with the matter said last week that Apple will include a fingerprint scanner on the more expensive of two iPhones it is expected to unveil Tuesday at an event at its Cupertino, Calif., headquarters. Because of Apple's influence, other companies are likely to follow. At least one new smartphone running Google Inc.'s Android operating system to be released this year will include a similar fingerprint sensor, though it is unclear if that phone will be sold in the U.S, a person familiar with the matter said.
Earlier today, an alleged user guide for the iPhone 5S was leaked that depicts a new Home button with a 'Touch ID' sensor.
I'm sure you can turn it off in settings. But the thing to be worried about is the ID getting put in every store Coffee shop. Ball stadium where you grab a handle
Excellent idea for apple to upload people's finger print to sell to law enforcement and other private agencies . Caution to all . If you have committed a crime on the past and have never been caught , stay away from the finger print iPhone 5S:)

Can the print be sent to a government agency confirming your identity as a felon or wanted man then send your location if found to be an active warrant for your arrest ??? Scary real scary that my phone might one day drop a dime on me and to think I pay for these services ...
