Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus Will Be Available to Order in More Countries on September 26th

Apple has revealed that the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will be available to order in at least 17 more countries on September 26th.
The countries are: ● Austria ● Belgium ● Denmark ● Finland ● Ireland ● Italy ● Luxembourg ● Netherlands ● New Zealand ● Norway ● Portugal ● Russia ● Spain ● Sweden ● Switzerland ● Taiwan ● Turkey
Notably, the phone will also be available to order in the UAE but one day later on September 27th.

Yeah why no mainland china. It's a pretty big market for them. It's possible it's marketing. They are hoping for some tech news of the iPhone 6 selling for 2 to 4 times normal. Create some demand buzz.
