Why these incapable workers at Apple are not able to do something like Microsoft Surface Pro device? Hello, Microsoft did it, what is your excuse Apple? Oh, wait, your answer will be it is not prime time for this kind of device. I'm listening... what else is your excuse?

You are absolutely right Apple is moving in the wrong way, for years people wanted an iPad running Apple operating system just like the Surface does with Windows. Apple is falling behind everywhere you look!!!

A 1024 pen pressure sensitivity of the new Surface Pro 4 failed the overpriced device. Its a turn-off for us graphic designers who is used to the accurate drawing interfaces of the Apple iPad Pro and Wacom Cintiq which has by the way 2048 levels of pen pressure sensitivity. Oh they say that Microsoft is for business yet they don't understand what are the needs of the people who do digital arts and yet they sell the Surface Pro 4 sh*t to us more expensive than the iPad Pro. If I am buying a windows laptop for graphic design, I'll buy a better one and use my Wacom instead. They forgot to improve the stylus which is the main selling point of the Surface Pro 4. Such a shame!

Yes, that's a shame as far as graphic designers go. It is also bad marketing from Microsoft side and you should be able to get your refund. But again, for us, regular users Surface pro 1st generation is just fine. M$ Office, skype, browsing internet, torrents, usenet, CAD software, custom corporate software, simple video and audio editing, Photoshop, attaching external hard drive, DVD burners, playing games, USB memory sticks, other software compatible for PC, you name it. And all of that on first generation of surface pro. Seriously, how hard is to run OSX on ipad thing? Yes, it will be thicker, so what? I'll take in a bit over surface pro if available. Yes, you will say that some of the things are possible to run on ipad, but come on, let be more practical, ipad is not laptop or desktop replacement where surface can be. That's the issue people have. Eventually Apple will come up with that and it will be thin and slick and great but I rather have it now even if it is half of the inch thicker.

If you are from the US, Modbook Pro X is available in your country, if you want a tablet that has all the functions of a full laptop computer. The insides are from the Macbook pro set on the highest spec available and the tablet interface is from Wacom which is already 2048 of pen pressure. It is a 3rd party company that converts your Macbook Pro to a more professional tablet compared to Wacom's Cintiq Companion. Wish Apple can do this but of course they don't want their products cannibalizing with each other....it is a marketing thing.

Yes, it will be nice if Apple makes them, it will be cheaper than modbook but of course marketing rules the world. Maybe one day we'll see this product made by Apple. I hope they doing some surveys on regular basis to see market demand. Maybe people really don't want it?

When an iPad can run major apps like Nuke, Final Cut Pro, Maya, Cinema4d and Logic Pro then I'll swap one for my Mac Pro.

The iPad pro's peripherals alone can't be compared to a laptop.. How can you watch movies, listen to mp3s on this device? I can't even connect my usb in the first place. And by the way, if it did connect, my movies still cant be played because you need to convert it or use itunes inorder to put it on the ipad.. Sooooo helll noooooooo this is a laptop replaceable device

@Kk: What's a USB? In this era we call it it cloud storage. I can transfer, view my media and continue it in my laptop if I am sitting next to it and I can do that everywhere. Too many rants in life! Only people who understand the use of technology enjoy the true potential of every gadget.

Or Probably its people like you who falsely self assume they understand technology because they think Apple is synonymous with creating technology. Does that sound accurate? I will agree to your cloud comment when Internet of the future becomes so fast, reliable, accessible and affordable that you can literally stream, download or upload at speeds in excess of 500 MBps even in the middle of nowhere like sitting in an Airport lounge, on an Interstate, when I am in the Air en-route to a client office, etc., Until then don't assume you understand technology fanboy.

Dude, I know you love apple so much that you ignore the things most people don't have such as fast internet.. So either you are an apple employee or just plain ignorant.. So f*ck off alright? And i meant usb drive*.. Damn you're so slow to know what i'm talking about..

@Kk: You don't get sarcasm do you? I know what you mean by USB you as*wipe! Whining is a form of stupidity knowing nothing that iPads don't have USB drive file transfer function and there is nothing else you can do about it. I was saying that there ways of using the device aside from your whining that it doesn't have USB to enjoy your media. It is not the end of the world yet if iPads don't have the basic USB function! There is an app called VLC which you can play any sort of media of any format and you can store it in your iPhone and iPad. Transferring music and movies to VLC can be done wirelessly and through iTunes and it can stream network connected drives at home. Do you know that viruses goes through USBs? That's the reason why Apple doesn't like to use USBs for file sharing. It is a loophole for computer infections. There are also fake USB cables that disguise as plain data transfer cables that when connected to the computer that is connected to the internet can be easily hacked. So stop whining you freaking sh*t! When you get any device, Android, iOS, Windows or Mac try to read the f*cking manual first! So that you'll know how to use your device! I don't like to read your mindless complaints anymore!

Sir, there is a function to most apps that saves your work in the device and transmit it when you have a good connection. You can even work offline with it if you are in the plane. I use Office for iPad all the time and it is connected to the cloud. When working offline I download the file for offline use and easily updates the cloud file when I am connected to the internet. I also have Adobe Creative Cloud and I can work my designs in my iPad and continue it in my computer. I think it happened to most of us that you forgot your thumbdrive and all your work is there. That is where the cloud became handy for me. If I don't have my computer I can easily get my files to another computer or even in my smartphone. I maybe a fanboy but I understand how technology works and I don't complain about it and find ways on how to use it properly. I also own a windows PC and other non-Apple gadgets and I am enjoying all of them because I understand their use not like people who always complain if they own a device just because they bought it for fad and not knowing their use.

There are lots of ways to work on these kind of things. There are lots of available portable wifi card readers with USB ports so that you won't be sticking an ugly USB thumbdrive to your phone or tablet and the contents can be streamed/shared with other multiple devices if you are having a long drive with the whole family for example. Limiting yourself to posible solutions (which is by the way is already being offered but too lazy to consider) will lead you to be a whining idiot like the others.

This is only a laptop replacement for very very specific people. No way an iPad replaces the average workstation laptop.
