iPhone 7 Release Date May Actually Be September 23rd

Posted August 16, 2016 at 6:23pm by iClarified
Apple maybe planning to release the iPhone 7 in stores on September 23rd; rather than the September 16th date previously rumored.

Until now it's been expected that Apple will unveil the iPhone 7 on September 7th, begin pre-orders on September 9th, and release in stores on September 16th. That's based on information from Bloomberg and well known leaker Evan Blass.

Now 9to5Mac has obtained some leaked documents from AT&T that show upcoming merchandising reset hours. Interestingly, stores are getting a merchandising reset on September 9th and September 23rd.

This could suggest that advertising for pre-orders could be planned for September 9 as expected and new iPhone models could hit the floor on September 23, a week later than previously expected.

Of course, this reset could be for a launch of a device from another manufacturer. We'll let you know if we hear anything else in this regard. Please follow iClarified on Twitter, Facebook, or RSS for updates.

Perhaps one is the day of the announcement, after which no significant numbers of the now "old" model iPhone sell, and the other date is the availability of the new models. This has been a past Apple pattern for the iPhone. Announcement day, and stand in line around the block to buy one day.

Maybe one date for pre-orders and another date for in-store purchase.

What I meant to say is perhaps one date is for the iPhones and the other date is for the iPads.

That is impressive detective work. Perhaps one date is for the iPhones and the another date for the iPads.
