A new Apple Watch 2 leak from Byte.co.uk examines alleged components for the upcoming smartwatch.

Last week, the same site leaked photos of the LCD & touch screen digitizer, Force Touch gasket, and battery for the Apple Watch 2. Now they are back with a new video posted to YouTube that purportedly reveals the internal housing and spacer ring for the device.

Most notably, Byte takes measurements of the new LCD and battery in the video. The LCD measures 2.86mm thick. That's much thinner than the first generation LCD which was 3.57mm thick. For the battery, the new one measures 5.11mm thick. The previous generation battery was just 3.95mm thick.

The new battery is said to be more powerful at 1.28 WH compared to the Apple Watch 1 battery at 0.98 WH. While this should provide Apple Watch users with an increase in battery life, the added capacity may be necessary to support a new GPS chip that will provide accurate workout logging the ability to track swimming.
