Visa Demos Mobile Payments and iPhone App [Video]

Visa has demoed Contactless mobile phone payments as well as an iPhone user interface at the Cartes Exhibition.

The iPhone user interface shown would let users customize incoming alerts for their credit card as well as email the issuer to query a transaction or contact customer service.


Contactless mobile phone payments lets you place your handset next to a POS terminal to authorize the transaction. If the transaction is less then 20 euros you will not need to do anything further. If the transaction is greater then 20 euros you will be prompted for a password.

Visa also reveal that they are testing a payment application that would live on a SIM card.
