CBS Updating Website With Support for iPad Video Playback

CBS is working on an update to its website that would allow visitors to view video content on their iPads.

Currently CBS usings Flash to display video content; however, a few strange "iPad - test" video links were noticed by The Other Mac Blog.

MacRumors investigated and found that clicking on these "iPad" labeled links brings you to the Flash video player in your normal browser; however, using the iPad SDK Simulator you are sent to a different version of the video.


This new version does not yet work but appears to be based on HTML5. The css files reference HTML5 and have a number of "webkit" specific calls.

While the videos don't currently play, the "fullscreen mode" reportedly already works.
