Apple is planning to unveil its next generation iPhone 14 models at a special event on September 7th, according to a new report from Bloomberg. Additionally, some retail store employees have been told to prepare for a major product release on September 16th, suggesting that the iPhone 14 will hit stores on that date.
The company intends to stream the event online -- rather than holding an in-person gathering -- continuing an approach it adopted at the start of the pandemic. Apple launches are highly polished affairs, and employees have already begun recording the presentation’s segments over the past few weeks, Bloomberg News has reported.
In addition to the iPhone, we're expecting Apple to unveil its new Apple Watch Series 8 lineup at the event. The standard model will likely look the same as the Series 7 but add a body-temperature sensor and women's health features. A new Pro model will target sportier customers with a larger and more shatter-resistant display, enhanced tracking for hiking and swimming, longer battery life, and a rugged and premium metal case (likely titanium).
