Yelp Announces Yelp Guaranteed, AI-powered Search, Revamped Reviewing, More

Yelp announced numerous new features today including Yelp Guaranteed, an AI-powered search experience, a revamped reviewing experience, and more.

Today, we're excited to unveil a number of new features that make it even easier for you to discover businesses that fit your needs and contribute helpful content on Yelp. A new satisfaction guarantee program, Yelp Guaranteed, will help you hire home service professionals with greater confidence. An AI-powered search experience helps match you with the most relevant local businesses when you have a specific or nuanced need, and new discovery features help you find the right business when you're not sure what you're looking for. To make reviews more visual and interactive, you will now be able to add video to reviews, write richer, more helpful reviews with greater ease and react to reviews in new ways. Plus, we're introducing more visual updates across the platform to help you better discover and connect with great local businesses within your community.

Yelp Guaranteed makes hiring home service pros a worry-free experience
To provide you with greater confidence and peace of mind during the hiring process, we're rolling out Yelp Guaranteed, a new satisfaction guarantee program that will allow you to get up to $2,500 back in the event something goes wrong with your project. When you hire an eligible business through Yelp's Request a Quote, you'll automatically be enrolled in the program, allowing you to submit a claim if you run into challenges resolving an issue directly with the business — either because you're not satisfied with the work performed, property was damaged related to the project or if the business was a no-show on a pre-paid job. Yelp Guaranteed is currently available for eligible Request a Quote-enabled advertisers based on a variety of qualification factors.

Today, Yelp Guaranteed is available in San Francisco, New York City, Chicago, Seattle and Washington D.C. across some of the most popular home services categories on Yelp, including movers, plumbers, HVAC, contractors, landscapers, electricians and more. In these cities, you can easily discover businesses backed by Yelp on iOS by selecting the "Yelp Guaranteed" filter in search, as well as looking out for the Yelp Guaranteed badge surfaced on eligible business pages and in your 'Projects' tab. This summer, we plan to expand availability of Yelp Guaranteed nationwide, surface it in more places across the Yelp app, and roll it out on all platforms, including Android and the web.

With the vast amount of rich user-generated content available on Yelp, we've long used AI to power solutions across our platform, including dish recommendations, organization of photos and automating content moderation, among others. With the recent advancements in LLMs, we're continuing to invest in further enhancing the search and discovery experience on Yelp to make it even easier for you to find businesses that fit your needs.
