Existing HBO Max subscribers will have access to Max at the same price as their current subscription and can access their current plan features for a minimum of six months.

Unfortunately, it appears that the new Max app no longer uses Apple's native video player on the Apple TV. That means a lack of support for Up Next, Picture in Picture, jog wheel skipping, and more. HBO Max tried to make this change in the past but was forced to revert back to Apple's player due to host of issues and complaints.
