Apple Releases macOS Tahoe 26.2 Beta 2 to Developers [Download]

Apple has seeded the second beta of macOS Tahoe 26.2 to developers for testing. The build number is 25C5037g.

macOS beta gives you an early preview of upcoming apps, features, and technologies. Please back up your Mac before you install the beta.

Today's beta introduces a new feature called Edge Light, designed to enhance video quality in low-light environments by creating a virtual ring light around the edges of your Mac's display. You can learn more about the feature here.


The release of macOS 26.2 beta 2 arrives alongside the second betas of iOS 26.2 and iPadOS 26.2, as well as watchOS 26.2, tvOS 26.2, and visionOS 26.2.

Developers can download the macOS restore image for Apple Silicon Macs from the link below. The update can also be installed by going to System Settings > General > Software Update > Beta Updates and choosing the macOS Tahoe Developer Beta.
