Tracks 1.0 Released for Mac OS X

Conceited Software has announced the immediate release of Tracks 1.2, an iTunes and iTunes Music Store controller for Mac OS X. Tracks lets users play their music library and browse the iTunes Music Store right from the menubar. No need to interrupt your workflow and switch to iTunes to change songs anymore.

Tracks lives in the menubar and is available at all times via global, customizable keyboard shortcuts. Browsing the user's iTunes library is as easy as opening the Tracks bar and typing a few characters. Search results can then be extended to include songs on the Internet/iTunes Music Store, play 30 second previews or buy songs instantly. Tracks integrates with Last.fm to automatically scrobble songs to a Last.fm account as the user plays them. Tracks also integrates with Growl and can present alerts about the currently playing song.

Feature Highlights:
* Spotlight-Like Search of all songs
* Global shortcuts: customize which keys invoke Tracks
* iTunes Music Store integration: search for remote music
* Last.fm integration: scrobble songs automatically
* Growl integration: display alerts when playing new songs

Pricing and Availability:
Tracks 1.x requires Mac OS X 10.5 or greater, costs 7.99 Euro and a 15 day free trial is available. Student and multi-user discounts are also available.
