See Here Studios Teams with 3D Filmmaker for E-Book

See Here Studios, publisher of the first 3D children's storybook for the iPad "3D Storybook-The Wrong Side Of The Bed 3D," teams with 3D filmmaker Andrea Senise to bring interactive 3D movies to their upcoming children's iPad e-book titles. Senise has produced 3D stereoscopic television projects and animated commercials in her native country of Brazil. Now residing in the United States, she is excited to bring her 3D expertise to the iPad: "Making children's storybook characters move and pop from the screen is simply magical. Everything in the story becomes more real and, at the same time, more fantastical!"

A sneak preview of the 3D storybook movie format is now viewable on YouTube, as well as an animated video demo of See Here Studios' first iPad e-book app (links below). This first e-book title, "3D Storybook - The Wrong Side of the Bed 3D," has consistently ranked among the Top 20 iPad paid book apps for the months of April and May. It is currently featured in the "What's Hot" listing in the iTunes App Store, iPad Books Category.


Based on the success of their first 3D storybook title, See Here Studios plans to release 3 new iPad children's book titles by August 2010. The upcoming titles will include enhanced e-book features including options to view in either 3D or 2D, embedded full-screen movies, original music and touch-based interactivity.

Valerie Mih, co-founder of See Here Studios, describes the goals of the studio: "We're constantly exploring ways to expand the boundaries of this new medium, digital children's books. Incorporating 3D movies and interactive elements are playful ways to draw young readers further into the story, while still retaining the cozy and personalized feel of a book."

Wallace E. Keller, co-founder and author/illustrator of the studio's first title, explains, "It's an intuitive and interactive bridge between the traditional book format and motion pictures.
