Pod2g ha liberado el Jailbreak Untethered para el iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 3G, iPod Touch 4G y iPad 1 conforme al iPhone Dev-Team.

Hace algunos días, @pod2g dio el Jailbreak Untethered a el iPhone devteam y a chronic devteam. Lo pusimos en redsn0w 0.9.10 y PwnageTool, y el chronic devteam lo puso en Cydia package (son los mismos exploits en los tres).

Bases:
● El Jailbreak Untethered es para iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4-CDMA, iPad 1, iPod Touch 3G, iPod Touch 4G con iOS 5.0.1.
● Si tu tienes algunos de estos dispositivos y no están en 5.0.1 aún, Actualiza ahora! La ventana SHSH para 5.0.1 aun esta abierta. Si actualizas vía ultrasn0w o gevey asegúrate actualizar a 5.0.1 mediante un custom IPSW! Lee las guías en sitios como iClarified.com si no sabes como hacerlo. Una vez que actualices a 5.0.1 utiliza la ultima versión de redsn0w 0.9.10 para hacer Jailbreak Untether (desatado).
● Si tu ya tienes 5.0.1 con un Jalbreak tethered tienes dos opciones: utilizar redsn0w 0.9.10 sobre tu Jailbreak (tienes que quitar la opción "Instalar Cydia" si decides esta opción), o instalar el paquete de Cydia hecho por el Chronic devteam. Los parches son los mismos sin importar la opción que elijas.
● Algunos de ustedes están utilizando un configuración híbrida 5.0/5.0.1. Si es así, no intenten utilizar este Jailbreak Untethered. Lo que lograran sera entrar en un ciclo de reinicio en sus dispositivos. Tienen que sincronizar y restaurar a 5.0.1 y después instalar el Jailbreak Untethered.

A huge THANK YOU to anyone that helped contribute to this glorious win over the fascists at apple who continue to believe open source is not the way. For those of us who do not believe in conforming to the will of company software design and have gained freedom for one's own devices, this calls for celebration. I, and so many others that have now broken the chains of these unneeded restraints, deeply thank you for your efforts and expertise where we unfortunately lack. You guys (and girls) are the beacon we look to when we need superheroes to save us from Apple's evil plight. Again, Thank You All.

No. A4 device refers to Iphone 4. 4S is an A5 device

Delete all sources except Cydia and then add them back on the main Cydia page (there's a tab called Cydia) by clicking on "More Package Sources".

Anyone having a problem with iBooks app - seems as prior to the previous Redsn0w release, iBooks crashes when booting from SpringBoard? I've ran the installation over the top of my untethered 5.0.1 jailbreak. Can anyone confirm the iBooks problem?

It's a known bug with this jailbreak (it's a different technique than before jbs). I actually use A LOT iBooks, so I unjailbroke my iPhone until a fix is done. The rest of the phone seemed ok :)

Thought so. It's a shame as they'd fixed this in previous version of Redsn0w, tethered of course.

There is a fix in the insanely repo called iBooksFix2 that works. It's temporary but at least it works.

For those asking regarding Gevey Sim. Yes it is safe to update on 5.0.1 as long as you PRESERVE THE BASEBAND. (Iphone4>5.0.1>untethered>tmobile) Hope this helps :)
