Apple has released a first teaser trailer and set an official premiere date for the fourth season of "Ted Lasso," confirming the hit comedy will return globally on Wednesday, August 5, 2026.
Season four will debut with a single episode, followed by weekly releases every Wednesday through October 7. The story shifts this season as Ted returns to Richmond with a new challenge, coaching a second-division women's football team where he and the players learn to take unexpected chances.
Jason Sudeikis returns to star and executive produce the series. He is joined by familiar faces including Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt, and Jeremy Swift. The ensemble also expands with new additions Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsay, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern, and Grant Feely.
The announcement narrows the summer release window Apple confirmed earlier this year. Behind the scenes, Jack Burditt joins the team as an executive producer under a new overall deal with Apple TV. Production continues to be handled by Warner Bros. Television and Universal Television, alongside Bill Lawrence's Doozer Productions.
Since its debut, the series became the most Emmy-nominated freshman comedy and went on to win back-to-back Outstanding Comedy Series awards for its first two seasons. The first three seasons are currently available to stream.
