Deezer has launched a free online tool that lets users scan Apple Music playlists for AI-generated tracks, offering a way to identify synthetic music that may have made its way into their libraries. The web-based scanner also supports playlists from other major streaming services.
The volume of AI-generated music being uploaded to streaming platforms continues to grow. Deezer says more than 75,000 AI-generated songs are added to its own service every day, accounting for roughly 44 percent of all new uploads. The company says the detector was created to provide listeners with greater transparency into the music appearing in their playlists.
Users can visit Deezer's website, connect their Apple Music or other supported streaming account, and allow the tool to analyze up to 100 playlists. Deezer says its technology can identify AI-generated tracks with 99.8 percent accuracy by detecting artifacts left behind by generative audio software. Once the scan is complete, the service generates a shareable report highlighting any AI-generated music it finds.
According to Deezer, nearly half of users who switch to its platform from competing services already have AI-generated songs in their playlists. The company also says up to 85 percent of streams involving AI-generated music are linked to fraud and stream manipulation, which can affect royalty distributions for artists.
A recent survey conducted by Deezer and Ipsos found that 80 percent of listeners believe AI-generated music should be clearly labeled, while 45 percent said they would like the option to filter it out entirely. Deezer says it has already tagged more than 13.4 million AI-generated tracks on its platform in 2025 and excludes them from its algorithmic and editorial recommendations.
