The iPad resolution is utter shite. The most disappointing thing about it in my option. I like to hold the device pretty close when im lying in bed and with small text, all you can see is pixels. Roll on iPad retina display.

IPad didn't fail anything. It's not a dedicated ebook reader. The kindle is fantastic, because it's designed to do one thing, and the eink display is best suited to that purpose. The iPad is fantastic because it's designed to do many different things, and the LED backlit display is best suited to that purpose.

iPad really failed on that one.... or did it? when the retina display iPad comes out the game will change again... Yet another marketing strategy which was amazingly successful...

I always thought the Kindle was a superior ebook reader based on the display.
