MacBook Takes Huge Performance Hit Without Battery

I can't believe I just wasted my time reading this. This is one of the dumbest stories I have ever seen in my live. I would rather watch Sesame Street then read this pointless BS.

Basically the battery can supply more power to the computer is what it is saying. Apple knows what the battery is capable of. But 85 watts (which i believe is what the mag safe is) is not a lot of power. It is great to charge but not a lot to run a processor with 2 cores. So to prevent a fire hazard the laptop will not run to its best performance unless the battery is present. Think of it this way; you laptop is always running off the battery. When the power cord is connected it only charges the battery, nothing else. But if the battery is removed it now becomes the only source of power, the laptop recognizes this and adjusts accordingly.

I dont get the logic of this... =/
