Leaked Video Claims to Show 'iPhone 5' Prototype With Solid Matte Back [Watch]

A newly leaked video purports to show an 'iPhone 5' prototype with a solid matte back.

Hey everyone, I'm Chris. In this video I present an iPhone 5 prototype I received anonymous source from year to my iPhone 4S in white.

Unlike previous leaks the device is turned on to show the Connect to iTunes icon; however, the general consensus is that this another dummy unit presented with some good video editing. Despite that, it does give us a good idea of what the design would look like with a solid back as opposed to the two tone back widely seen.

Take a look below at the video and photos below. More photos here.

If this is not a fake, it's very disappointing from a design prospective, but I guess they will still sell millions... Reality is everything is reaching a plato, we will see a bump in speed, memory and camera.. It's up to the innovation on the software side to kick-it-up-a-notch...

This looks so much better with the solid back and sides. I've never been a fan of those lines going through the back. Looks cheap. Less is more.

Anyway can someone plz tell me if New Iphone presentation will be 12.September where I could watch that presentation video asap, maybe even live? Is live possible? Where? Apple.com? No live, then where at all? :)

Stick to iclarified.com, once the presentation starts ( most likely 12 September ) then they usually start live updates on what's going on. You can't really watch the presentation untill after its over but alot of blog sites will live blog the event. So no need to look any further. You are already where u want to be. Glad that I could help.

Let's think about this for a minute. A few years back an iPhone was lost in a bar 2 guys found it and sold it to a blogger (Gizmodo). Apple found out and went ape shit and even pressed charges on all parties that were involved in what Apple called a purchase of stolen property. Search warrants were issued charges were brought up and people were locked up. Now these apparent devices have surfaced and no word from apple. Come on people think. These rumors are just that rumors. Wether they have some truth to them who knows but I doubt that Apple would let there next device be leaked and not do anything about it. Case companies don't even think they know till the day apple announces their device. Meaning that everyone including case and other accessory manufacturer's won't know until Apple officially announces it.

Why does the lcd on the prototype look like a 3gs? No more retina display? LG fucked apple over maybe?

Does anyone remember the "teardrop" shaped iphone 5 that was supposed to come out last year around this time? Then outcomes the 4S and looked just like the 4. I think they will make cosmetic changes, but I don't think this prototype is legit.

I don't think this iPhone is real. Watch the video @2:58. The screen has the "connect to iTunes" image but it doesn't have the battery indicator on the top right corner.

Last few generations of macs all look the same too with small incremental improvements. That's all apple has to do once they have something people like. People will buy this. It looks real to me.
