I'd buy but the iPad is limited to what can be done with one.

Too late! I already traded my ClamCase for a "Bridge" (with front firing speakers) and just love it. The people that are "bemoaning" the people that want a trackpad are the ones that don't get it. I wuold loved to have a trackpad on my new Bridge!... it would have made it perfect in stead of 95%. Now I easily have the choice of using the iPad as it was ment to be used or a "mini" Mac Portable... MY CHOICE!!!

ppl are talking about version with trackpad, i am sorry but are they missing the point?, ipad itself is a touch sensitive device and to be honest i dont even see the point of the keyboard, if you really wanna use keyboard, then guys, just get a macbook or a laptop, why would you want to spoil the beauty of such a gorgeous device with these pointless add-ons....

I think it wouldve been better to just show the damn keyboard instead of having it spin all over the place. All Im sayin is when is the shit gonna stop spinning, like they are tryin to hypnotize or something... Lmao.. Beat it...

Would be nice to have some nice mini speakers and a small trackpad built into it. The way he speaker now sits when in he clamshell all he audio gets lost out the side. Build me some speakers and a trackpad and you have one hot item..

Review post: I own one. It's great as purposed. It's not a laptop replacement though. It mirrors great laptop ergonomics (ie you can keep two hands free and have the screen positioned at your face), can use/see the whole screen, and has short cut keys in a versatile strong and robust case with great key touch feel (not like all that other plastic junk i looked at). No trackpad? Sure it feels weird at first and that would be nice (and battery hungry[?]) but our powerful noodle has a way to learn and acclimate to that... ;) trust me! I use the solution for being mobile in my business and for couch comfortable computing. I also use a MBA for more versatility and power requirements, but that only such a computing unit will provide. Lastly, when MS office for IOS cones out in March(?) this will make a very powerful package indeed. Overall if you only need light footprint computing on a great os it creates a great solution. My only two criticisms for improvement. 1) the weight of the ipad and soft stiffness of the hinge sometimes means it flop backwards- just have to position it right and its stiff enough to hold no worries. A locking mechanism/stiffer hinge wouldn't go astray though, but i can live with it. 2) Distribution wise if you live in Australia(/outside U.S.[?]) don't expect it to be easy to source one! Ps- I have the Star-wars inspired Trooper Clamcase. So these criticisms may have been addressed since. Otherwise Im a happy Clam! Mwahahaha!

Thats pretty clever, now we only need OSX-iOS to support the setup. Attach it to case it swiches to OSX-mode and take it away goes automaticly to iOS. Perfect, No need for both MBA and iPAD anymore!

So its like the Brydge that came out 6+ months ago on Kickstarter? What's unique about something that already exists?
