Apple has released its '12 Days of Gifts' giveaway app in the U.S. for the first time. In previous years a '12 Days of Christmas' app was available to international customers only. This year the app has been renamed and is available in the U.S. App Store.
From 26 December – 6 January, you can download a gift each day—songs, apps, books, movies, and more—with the 12 Days of Gifts app. Each day's gift will only be available for 24 hours, so download the free app to make sure you don’t miss out. Please note: Not all content is available in all countries.
You can download 12 Days of Gifts from the App Store for free.

It's only available via iOS 7. Everyone else is out of luck. No word on whether any 'Free apps" are for iPhone or iPad.
