Check out Apple's first ad for the new MacBook Air entitled, "Lightness".

Take a peek at the new MacBook Air. It’s even thinner and lighter, with a brilliant Retina display, Touch ID, a powerful eighth-generation Intel Core i5 processor, the latest-generation butterfly keyboard, and the Apple T2 Security Chip. And with an enclosure made with 100% recycled aluminum, it’s the greenest Mac ever.

Just as I thought when I mentioned how it was going to feature the T2 and the ports like the modern MacBook has. Like the old MacBook Pro without retina, the reasons why people prefer that over the newest models can add ports to the list at this point because most of what they said might as well apply to the air as well at this point. I can do without butterfly mechanism, extra 8gb memory, 20% larger trackpad, and slight thinness. At least they're still selling it while it lasts, but sadly the only laptop left with the old ports will get the same treatment like the pros did when they stopped selling those. They will be missed. Not hating, just putting my thoughts out.
