Apple has removed support for Adobe Flash in the latest Safari Technology Preview. The company announced the change in the notes for Release 99 earlier today.

Safari Technology Preview Release 99 is now available for download for macOS Catalina and macOS Mojave. If you already have Safari Technology Preview installed, you can update in the Software Update pane of System Preferences on macOS.

Legacy Plug-Ins
● Removed support for Adobe Flash

It's unclear when this change will make it to the regular release of Safari. However, when it does, it will help accelerate the end to Flash. Apple has been trying to end support for the browser plugin for over ten years but its use still persists, especially in ad creatives.

There are numerous other changes and improvements as well, including support for the image-set() standard syntax.
