A Geekbench report ran two days ago may reveal the results for an unreleased Arrandale MacBook Pro running at 2.66GHz, according to a MacRumors report.

Apple has been widely expected to introduce the Arrandale chips in their next MacBook Pro revisions.

The MacBook Pro is designated as model "6,1" and is using a non-shipping build of Mac OS X 10.6.2 (Build 10C3067). The processor is listed as an Intel Core i7 M 620 running at 2.66GHz. This high end dual core processor features both Turbo Boost and Hyperthreading.

The final benchmark score of 5260 is much higher than the current 2.66GHz MacBook Pros who typically see a score between 3700 and 4000.

The MacBook Pro has not been updated in approximately eight months. This latest information indicates a revision may be coming soon.

Hopefully we'll see specifications similar or better than the HP Envy laptops. Quad-core i7 and a 1080 15" screen is on the top of my list.
