Eufy is officially rolling out its HomeKit Secure Video update for the eufyCam 2 and the eufyCam 2C.
The company confirmed to 9to5Mac that the update will roll out starting today and reach all users in the next 2-3 weeks. This comes after a false start back in March.
Check the Eufy app for the following updates: ● Firmware version – 2.1.0.4h ● Subsystem version – 1.3.0.9
Using the Apple Home app, users will be able to see live video of their security cameras as well as view 10-days of recent activity. Customers that have 200 GB iCloud plan users can add one camera at no extra cost; those with a 2 TB plan can add up to five cameras. EufyCam 2 will be able to detect whether it sees a person, vehicle or an animal before securely sending footage to iCloud. This ensures that you're only notified about important activity.
Features: ● 365-Day Battery Life (on a single charge) ● 1080p Full HD ● No Monthly Fees Required ● Smart Image Enhancement ● Night Vision ● Apple Homekit Compatibility
